I'll give you the benefit of the doubt
and say it's funk. although i feel like i'm hearing some garageband loops which is generally frowned upon in the music world
is the trumpet solo synthesized or live because it's pretty killer. Either way, it takes a lot of skill or a lot of patience to make it sound that good.

I liked it
Turn down the octave G's at 2:57 a little. It just dominates a little when i want to hear more of everything else
as for the ending, i thought the build up was good but the end was just a bit anti climactic. Just experiment and i'm sure something will come to you.
I dont even like trance
and i found this to be highly catchy and entertaining

Well, I liked it.
Everything layered nicely and i found it overall enjoyable. Some of the piano seemed a little rhythmically detached at times.
I realize it's a demo
but make sure when it's good and done you've worked out some issues with production.
right now it sounds like a one-track recording. Volume levels are haywire and it sounds very jumbled. I also realize how hard it is to get a good drum recording but it's very crucial as a foundation for the piece.
musically it has potential but make sure everything is together rhythmically or else it will detract from the cool melody going on.
I'm just confused
The feedback hurt my ears. and there are times when the rhythm just doesn't feel together.

Lovely
The beginning is powerful and the end is simply groovy. It builds very nicely and i like the play on the original melody when it breaks down.

some pointers
I keep expecting everything to drop out after building for so long. It would create a load of drama and then everything could resume
It could also use some change in either melody or harmony at some point
If only it was a bit longer!
